Let me introduce you to the Siefert family:
Bryan was born and raised in Muncie, IN. He attended High Street United Methodist Church where he was an "angel" who sang in the various choirs until he graduated from Yorktown High School in 1990. Bryan then ventured to Louisville, KY on a full-ride scholarship to play basketball for Bellarmine College. After four precarious years of college, he ansered the call to full-time Chrisitan ministry. So, Bryan journeyed further south to attend Duke University Divinity School in Durham, NC.
While in his final year at Duke, Bryan met Kimberly at a wedding. Kimberly could not keep her eyes off of Bryan and vowed one day that the two of them would be married. Kimberly obviously is a very intelligent woman. She grew up in Roanoke Rapids, NC, and attended Roanoke Rapids United Methodist Church. When she graduated high school in 1992 she moved to Raleigh, NC to attend Meredith College. It was shortly after her graduation from Meredith in 1996 that Kimberly and Bryan met.
In the summer of 1997, Bryan graduated from Duke, was ordained in West Lafayette, married Kimberly in Roanoke Rapids, and moved with his new bride to their first appointment in Rensselaer, IN. They served three years there and in 2000 moved to an appointment in Fort Wayne. In 2002, they were appointed to College Avenue in Muncie where Brayn has served as an associate pastor and Kimberly has served as the Director of Christian Education and continues to write curriculum for the United Methodist Publishing House.
Their daughter, Kathryn (Kate) was born in Fort Wayne and is now a rather energetic five-year-old. Though energetic, Kate has simple tastes (which is fine with mom and dad). When asked by Santa what she wanted for Christmas, Kate responded with, "M & M's." Let's hope she keeps that up!
If there is anything the Siefert family really wants you to know it is that they are excited about their appointment to Culver Wesley and they are looking forward to some wonderful years of Christian ministry and fun.
